If you see this lady turning in clockwise you are using your right brain. If you see it the other way, you are using left brain. Some people do see both ways, but most people see it only one way.

See if you can make her go one way and then the other by shifting the b rain's current. BOTH DIRECTIONS CAN BE SEEN

Experimentation has shown that the two different sides, or hemispheres, of the brain are responsible for different manners of thinking. The following table illustrates the differences between left-brain and right-brain thinking:

Most individuals have a distinct preference for one of these styles of thinking. Some, however, are more whole-brained and equally adept at both modes. In general, schools tend to favor left-brain modes of thinking, while downplaying the right-brain ones. Left-brain scholastic subjects focus on logical thinking , analysis, and accuracy. Right-brained subjects, on the other hand, focus on aesthetics, feeling, and creativity.

That is so interesting!! Thank you Donna for sharing this. I am having so much fun!!!
I looked at the screen and could only see the lady turning CW (clockwise). So I asked Constantin what he sees: his answer was CCW (counterclockwise). I was No way!! Then he read the post and he could see lady switching directions. I was sort of bothered as I could only use my right side of the brain which is related to intuition, creativity etc. Well… I am happy and grateful that my intuition serves me well, but I believe that it’s best to use both sides of the brain, balance is the key.

So I got this idea: I watched TV and observed what direction this lady goes … yhooo hoo!!
She was spinning CCW for the first time, Yay!!! but only for few seconds and really fast!! The CW side was pretty descent. Then I tried to keep an eye on my laptop and the other an eye on TV. I saw the lady spinning both directions. Yay!! Who says TV is bad? Hehehe…
I will try the experiment after I meditate, as meditation supposes to bring both brains into balance.
I believe that is a great exercise for the brain, whoever came with this graphic/idea...

Psychic abilities

Research into psychic abilities and the brain tends to imply that psi (psychic abilities) reside in the right side of the brain. The left side of the brain contains our verbal, rational, logical analytical side. This side tends to dominate, encouraged in our society by our educational system and how society works. The left side of the brain operates the right hand - most people are right handed. The right side of the brain contains our creative, intuitive, imaginative side - this operates the left hand. It has been suggested that using the left hand for psychic work, such as automatic writing, can stimulate the right side of the brain to take over - believed to be the seat of psychic ability or psi. Dreaming occurs in the right side of the brain. It is believed that meditation gets both sides of the brain working together - usually one side of the brain is dominant.

One theory is that before we learnt to communicate verbally through speech, psi abilities were used for communication and we relied on instinct for survival. As we developed our society and language, the need for instinct and intuition decreased so now we need to relearn those powers.

Experimentation with hypnosis, sleep and dreams, trances and drugs that induce an altered state of consciousness has been undergone to try and pin down psychic abilities. Experiments with transmitting images mentally to dreamers have proved reasonably successful in a few cases. However there is little solid proof of psychic abilities. J B Rhine carried out tests in his research centre for years to prove the existence of psychic abilities but his results were very hit and miss and his methods have been questioned by the scientific world.

How does psi work?
Hans Berger did research on the movement of electrical currents in the brain and whether there was any link with psychic abilities and discovered that psi was most likely to happen when the brain cycles were slower, for instance when we are deeply relaxed or asleep. Another theory is that psychic powers use some form of energy. Energy never dies; it transmutes from one form to another. This could be some form of energy we know about already. One explanation for telepathy is that may be all minds are in communication or connected in some way. Human beings seem to need to feel connected in some way, or feel some sense of inter-connectedness. Many religions or philosophies deal with these ideas. Likewise, humans seem to need some sort of understanding of God, or some higher power, and the future. The brain emanates waves similar to radio waves which were investigated to see whether they were powerful enough to carry from one brain to another but it is unlikely that they are powerful enough.

We all have the ability to have psychic powers but most of us need to develop them. Some people are born with a more highly-tuned sense of psi than others but in theory we all have the capability to be psychic.

This is such a cool thing, I'm so glad you posted it. When I first looked I could only see her spinning counter clockwise. After a while I saw her change direction. And then back. It seemed like a struggle in my brain to control the direction, like exercise. I downloaded the image to my computer so I could practice (slow connection). Now, when I look I can change her direction back and forth in mid rotation. First to one side then to the other. Right about the time her legs cross I see it change. It looks like a really graceful dance with the added effect of her right leg suddenly turning into her left. I think it was only by practicing that my brains learned to switch this quickly.

A great method to balance both spheres (left/right) of the brain is to hold in your power (transmitter) hand a lunar energy stone (moonstone for example) and in your receptive hand a solar energy stone (crystal). I use orgone with yin/yang energies due to their power but yin/yang stones will do.
Also visualise the moon and sun for a powerful result. This helps if you find yourself in a stressful or challenging time.
