Honesty or fantasy?
Truth vies with imaginings during much of 2006 and asks how willing we are to be honest with ourselves as we look at the bigger picture. Yes, there is a theme developing here with Jupiter's squares to Neptune and that shouldn't really be a surprise. The Universe (and / or the Universe's maker) tends to hint more than once and sometimes loudly when it wants us to listen.
The subject of our decisions may be personal or global or somewhere in between. The details will depend upon out surroundings, but the general theme includes a difficult look at how much we can have without infringing on the rights of others. Are we willing to admit we have choices to make? Or will we simply fall into a Fantasyland where everything is "perfect"?
We have the opportunity during 2006 to throw away any rose colored glasses we may be holding onto, to make some decisions and incorporate the changes into our lives. Pivotal times include the days near January 28, March 16 and September 24th, but this aspect enhanced by similar themes flows through the first three quarters of the year.
How much is enough?
As 2005 began its ending – and just before Venus began its retrograde motion – Jupiter squared Saturn. As with the Jupiter-Neptune square in 2006 (Honesty or fantasy above), Jupiter aspects Saturn three times from the end of 2005 to the end of October 2006. Something is definitely in the works.
Saturn has a lot to do with boundaries, hitting metaphorical walls, coming to grips with reality. Jupiter concerns bounty, generosity and often what we need to give up in order to have something else. We really can't have it all, either personally or globally. Most things are finite; oil for example, but the list is long and varied. We may easily find that 2006 is the year that many people come face to face with the acceptance (or denial) of limits.
Are we willing to share? To do with a bit less so that others can have more? This could be as close to home as one sibling sharing with another so that they can both enjoy a game. It could of course have much broader references. The specific dates focus on December 17 of 2005 as well as June 22 and October 25 of 2006. Again, this theme intertwines with the Jupiter - Neptune square.
Autonomy within community and a wide angled view.
There are definitely some reality checks due in 2006. There are also opportunities. We are being asked to make our personal and global choices with deep and sincere honesty.
Within the framework of the Jupiter squares to Neptune and Saturn there is the easy flow of a trining aspect to Uranus in Pisces. The exact dates are June 5th and August 29th. (The first trine took place Nov 27, 2005.)
Can we be our authentic selves within the context of our community lives? We can certainly try. And in making our choices based on our personal beliefs as opposed to what mom-dad-hubby-wife-boss-media-and-peers may want us to believe we are remaining true to ourselves. Even if our choices become regrets, they are OURS and that is part of this year's message. Look for answers in places you don't normally venture. Make your decisions from a more wide angled view remembering that you are not alone in this world.
Making a move.
By week three of November 2006 Pluto (September 4th), Neptune (October 29th) and Uranus (November 20th) are all moving forward from our earthbound perspective. Jupiter -- the planet of focus for 2006 -- moves into Sagittarius on November 24th and conjuncts Mars (planet of action) on December 11th.
If we have done our homework well, this may be a time of great steps forward. New learning, new horizons and new opportunities may all present themselves. Indeed, many wonderful achievements are possible under these combined aspects.
There is a cautionary note, however, both personal and for our "leaders". The mighty can often believe that they have the only answers, that their truths are THE truth and they can choose to move forward on top of the backs of others less fortunate. I sincerely hope that we have learned the lessons needed not to repeat our mistakes yet again.

The New Moon
The New Moon or Conjunction, is used when you want to start something new or try to break some old patterns. That is the time of the month when you would attempt to start or do these kinds of things. The New Moon is the time of internalizing and looking within yourself. See our New Moon Reports for more information.
The Full Moon
The Full Moon, or Opposition, is the time when you would try to accomplish the things that were started on a New Moon. The Full Moon is when you look to external events or things get beyond your control.
Eclipses
An eclipse is a far more potent lunation. The affairs of that house which it falls in or takes place in, will be activated.
Does the eclipse fall on a planet in your natal chart? That planet will also be activated.
The sign of the eclipse plays a role in the likely events that the eclipse will trigger. _________________ “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there.” rumi
